 | Scarlet maple leaves representing Japanese autumn and little birds are colorfully drawn on lightly pigmented silk. It is mounted in the traditional "three layer mounting" style. Silk brocade is used. There are two narrow silk brocade strips, known as "futai," hanging down vertically from the top edge. There is a wooden roller stick to protect the scroll when rolled up. Comes in a double-layered wooden box with the artist's signature. Daily care only requires occasional dusting with a feather duster. To enjoy your scroll for years to come, please avoid direct sunlight and extreme dryness. This will protect the scroll's color from fading. | |
